Close to the jagged rocks it sails now.
Away from the safety of the true deep.
In the shallows of peril, it blindly sails.
That ship of fools. The vessel of the blind.
Too full of its own arrogance.
Ignoring all the blessed, sacred charts.
Dangers all around.
Below, beside, even on board, especially on board.
The pilot, gagged, silenced by impure desires.
Nobody navigates. All want to steer.
Trying to please everyone. Pleasing no one.
Self drives desires, desires drive self.
Handing destiny to the corrupt and dangerous.
The vociferous few drive the silent majority.
Empowering the conceited to further destroy.
All in the name of protection we sacrifice.
Eroded rights, eroded freedoms.
Collateral damage to the impossible dream.
All individual power removed.
The evil and self-righteous drive it further.
Further to the rocks on which it will perish.
They don't care.
For a minute's glory they throw away other's futures.
Orwell was right but untimely.
The natural order, unnaturally shuffled.
Self-appointed demi-gods unleash havoc.
They chose the life or death of the vulnerable.
They chose to ignore the natural laws, the Devine laws.
Don't listen to Nadab or heed Abihu.
They paid the price for their ignorance.
With good intents the path to hell is paved.
It isn't wise to tempt the currents of tumult.
Don't drift into the eddies of ignorance.
The rock of wrath awaits.
For what rewards do you take the risks?
For the fleeting pleasure of the flesh,
the doom of all awaits.
It isn't "if", it is "when" doom will visit.
A tempest tossed ship is at the mercy of the waves.
The waves that drive it in greater peril.
While onboard, oblivious they celebrate.
Celebrating their sin. Back slapping disobedience.
High fiving their way to their demise.
Adrift 'tween all the razor-sharp rocks.
The rocks of complacency, greed, deceit and lies,
of pride and ambition, of simony and usury,
of lust, perversion and depravity.
"The prudent see danger and take refuge,
but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.
Ignoring all the warnings and the rocks around them,
through dangerous rocks and perilous sea,
sails the doomed ship "Society".
