The following video demonstrates how to create a scheduled task under Windows™ 10. The principle should be the same for earlier versions of Windows although some of the options may vary.

Notice that there are several options for the actual schedule giving plenty of options for various tasks. It is a good way to schedule a weekly backup of your important file. We rotate external drives on a weekly basis so that we can retrieve files that are a month old if needed.
