SUPERXMT is a IBM TRANSMIT command wrapper program.

SUPERXMT allows for a larger parameter list to be passed to XMT which allows us to perform generic transmits of members of a PDS. (i.e. ASL* will transmit all members starting with ASL from a PDS)

The original program SUPERXMT program uses an internal userid table to determine who is allowed to use it. This table is externalised in the latest version thereby removing the need to change and re-assemble SUPERXMT in order to add or remove users.

Note: The user table will not override any security system definitions that may be in place.

We believe that original creator of SUPERXMT is Dan Little of Royal Bank (Canada).

SUPERXMT is used by our XMT facility but it is only needed if a generic tranmission is required.

While SUPERXMT is not required it is certainly recommended

We have two different versions of SUPERXMT. The only difference between them is that one has an internal authorised user table (SUPERXMO), the other uses an external table (SUPERXMT uses the external table GOODGUYS).
